This project will focus on the applications of transgenic technology to agriculture and the ethical and social implications of those applications. The technical hazards presented by the use of GM organisms in agriculture will be presented and explained. Public perceptions of transgenic crops will be analyzed, and ethical and social aspects of the debate over transgenic technology will be considered.
