open in viewerHistoric Royal Palaces recently put time and money into improving interpretation methods at Hampton Court Palace, and plan to continue these efforts for the following four years. Using surveys, guest tracking, and staff interviews, our study evaluated guest opinions of the recent renovations, as well as inquiring into heritage interpretation in general. The research team traveled to competition heritage sites to evaluate how they draw in visitors, as well as interviewed HCP staff on interpretation methods and the Core Story Project. A combination of mobile technology, interviews, and pen and paper tracking was employed in order to evaluate the guest experience at Hampton Court.
