Country Fire Authority
This report, prepared for Country Fire Authority of Victoria, focuses on the potential contamination of local water resources by structural firewater runoff. When water that is used to fight structural fires mixes with hazardous material from certain structures, a potentially dangerous runoff can result. This runoff may flow into sensitive ecosystems, threatening aquatic life and human drinking water. This project provides recommendations for Country Fire Authority for minimization of environmental contamination as a result of structural firewater runoff.
