Traditionally, compartmentalized functions and disparate management philosophies have characterized product realization. This study introduces the concept of an integrated dynamic approach to the product realization process. Researching developments in management, technologies, materials handling and employee involvement, a recipe is proposed for the integration of product realization activities. Two case studies are considered in order to explore product realization activities at Lincoln Electric Company and General Motors and their impact upon society.
