Abstract

We found that there exists a high correlation between obtaining patents and publishing research in the fiber optics field while there is little correlation for the thermodynamics field. Also, when companies in any field allow their scientists to publish research and apply for patents, the stock price increased slightly. Finally, we are able to conclude that the data values vary depending on how many pieces of data are being studied but the results remain constant relative to each other.
