Education for Sustainable Development: An Assessment of West Midlands Schools

Schools across the United Kingdom are striving to improve sustainability education to meet the demands of Target 4.7 of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. However, no tool currently exists to measure schools progress toward this target. Working with our sponsor at the University of Worcester, our team developed an assessment tool that was piloted in five secondary schools across the West Midlands to determine the current state of participation in Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and quantify the tooL effectiveness.
