Our project assists the work of Dr. Badiaa Bennani and Dean Mohamed Essaaidi to implement smart city initiatives in the area of Madinat Al Irfane of Rabat, Morocco in order to better connect the various institutions. We held a focus group with students and surveyed members of different institutions to understand a connectivity initiative that appeals to them the most. We conducted interviews with five local experts of smart city research in various fields to determine the feasibility of creating a smart city in Madinat Al Irfane. We developed a list of five connectivity initiatives to be implemented to improve the infrastructure of the area in order to promote smart city components to provide members of different institutions an opportunity to connect.
