The objective of this project was to quantify the relationship between art and culture through the computation of fractal dimensions of major artworks. To this end, we computed the fractal dimensions of the masterpieces from the East and West and also explored the difference between male and female painters. We found out that the fractal dimension of these paintings is correlated closely with the artist career and the prevailing culture.
