In effort to receive a Massachusetts State Educator's License, Krystal Parker completed her student teaching practicum at Forest Grove Middle School. Through 75 hours of observation and 150 hours of teaching 8th grade math, Krystal proved her proficiency in the Department of Education's Professional Standards for Teachers: planning lessons based on curriculum and student needs, effective instruction through communication of material and expectations, creating and managing an appropriate learning environment, promoting the efforts and achievements of all students, and interacting professionally with students, teachers, and parents. This portfolio includes an overview of Forest Grove Middle School, details about the 8th grade math curriculum, lesson plans, and student work.
