This project focuses on the impact of climate change on the New England maple sugaring industry. Our team conducted virtual semi- structured interviews with nine sugarers to gather insight on their experiences as maple syrup producers. We concluded that over the past 50 years, the maple sugaring industry has been negatively impacted by climate change, specifically the changing seasons, large storms, and the destruction of trees. We present our findings in a story-telling video showcasing our interviewees and the transition of the industry over time.
