Issues with current food packaging plastics include chemical leaching, negative environmental impact, and the economical cost to the food packaging industry. Through the uses of independent research and a survey including 207 participants, solutions were formulated as to the most effective way to address the problems with food packaging polymers. Ultimately the paper aims to increase awareness of potential hazards as well as purpose some general solutions for the economical and environmental issues that have been seen.
