Previous studies have shown that phytoestrogens exhibit an anti-proliferative effect on breast cancer cells. This project used HPLC to isolate components of the phytoestrogens. These components were then applied to MCF7 and T47D cell lines to determine their effect on cell proliferation. The results suggest that black cohosh has the most anti-proliferative effect.
