The Asian longhorned beetle (ALB) has decimated the forests of several cities along North America's east coast. The outbreak in Worcester, Massachusetts presented a unique opportunity to evaluate the public's perception of trees. The goal of this research is to communicate resident opinion to policy makers so that they may better manage and protect urban forests.
