The Finite Element Method (FEM) is a scheme that can approximate the solution of boundary value problems. We study the fundamentals of FEM and construct a MATLAB code to approximate the error of the solution for each refinement and compute the rate of convergence of this discretization. Then, we study the article of Bramble and Schatz to construct MATLAB code to approximate better solution by averaging the FEM's solution.
