Thermal, Telecommunication and Power Systems for a CubeSat
PublicDownloadable Content
open in viewerThe objective was to design the power, telecommunication, and thermal control subsystems for a CubeSat. The power budget was finalized and wiring diagrams were created to show how hardware interfaces with other spacecraft systems. A telecommunication subsystem was designed for communication between the satellite and ground station network that was identified. A budget for finalized ground station hardware was established. Furthermore, a link budget was created and expected ground tracks calculated using STK software. To better understand thermal requirements, calculations of spacecraft-sun vectors were performed using STK; then used to simulate effects on the structure using COMSOL. The report concludes with recommendations for future work with respect to all three subsystems.
