Creating an Extension Board for the Khepera IV to Allow for Situated Communication
PublicDownloadable Content
open in viewerThe purpose of this project is to design and build an extension circuit board for the Khepera IV. The circuit board allows for situated communication, which is the basis of coordinated swarm behavior, between the Khepera IV robots. This is to be done without disrupting additional extensions that can be added to the robot. The main goal of the project is to use the IR emitters and receivers on the circuit board to exchange messages between Khepera IV robots and to calculate distance and angle of the source message. The final product is two circuit boards that are created to demonstrate the desired abilities of the board and how it works with the Khepera IV.
