The purpose of this project was to develop an assay to explore the interactions between histone chaperone Anti-Silencing Function 1 (Asf1) and tetramers of histones (H3-H4)2. A successful assay was developed to work with flourescein-labeled proteins (Asf1 or histones) and explorations into interactions involving Asf1 protein were begun. Preliminary studies proved the assay was functional with Asf1 to Asf1 interplay assays and could be further used in investigations of histone chaperones and their importance within the life cycle and activity of cells.
