This project created a database that provides available broadcast frequencies in the DTV Spectrum along the entire length of Interstate 90 in Massachusetts. The second tool created is a simulated stretch of two lane bidirectional traffic. This simulator not only simulates the traffic environment, but also simulates propagations of warning signals created by vehicle communications. The simulator addresses three tasks collision avoidance through early hazard detection, bandwidth usage and blocking percentage of broadcasts by vehicles based on frequency availability, and a simulator that provides a plotting tool that graphs data from the simulator as it is running to provide a visual understanding of variables correlations.
