This project involved work for the Panama Canal Authority from July-October 2017, the results of which remain confidential, and a subsequent study that assessed the Panama Canal's water resource management planning methods. A hydraulic model and floodplain maps were created to analyze downstream impacts of a proposed construction project. Later work considered deterministic and flexibility in engineering design methods. A framework is provided to incorporate flexibility in engineering design methods to future Panama Canal water management projects.
