This project report analyzes a research and development building designed for a conglomerate corporation in Seoul, South Korea. Cannon Design was the architectural and engineering designer for this 1.2 million ft^2 research and development center. The building was designed as a “New Scientific Workplace” to enhance tenants’ productivity, efficiency, and creativity. This study uses the second floor of the pharmaceutical high-rise as its design scope.The report is comprised of an original design summary, a load calculation revisit, a system design evaluation, a ductwork/pipework study, and, finally, an energy evaluation.
