Abstract
A single chamber 38L plethysmograph was assessed for use with toy breed dogs. A pilot study was done in which three dogs were used; a healthy dog, a dog with tracheal collapse, and a dog with chronic bronchitis and tracheal collapse. These two diseases are reviewed, and the data collected is interpreted. The utility of plethysmography as a diagnostic tool for small animals is evaluated.
