Abstract

Avaya, Inc. Quality Assurance Division currently utilizes a system called QUICA. The QUICA system was used to track product quality issues, failure analyses and corrective actions. Unfortunately the system was created in Microsoft Visual Basic and has the following problems, 1) no external access, 2) limited concurrent users, 3) access speed, 4) limited reporting functions. After analyzing the needs of the organization, the team designed a web-based e-QUICA system, using Oracle and Java technologies to solve the problems.
