Abstract

Building upon acquired knowledge and research an autonomous robot security guard was designed, constructed, and tested. This robot is able to autonomously navigate hallways in search of human intruders using a variety of sensors and motors. If obstacles are detected, the robot is able to steer itself to avoid them. The proof of concept robot successfully demonstrated the ability to integrate material previously leaned in classrooms to a real world working environment.
