Abstract

In this paper, we consider two mathematical cell motility models for the nematode sperm cell, describing the one-dimensional and two-dimensional cases. These particular models give rise to free boundary problems where the boundaries within which the partial differential equations are satisfied are not given and must be determined together when solving the partial differential equations. Analytical properties of these models are used to simplify the problems, and solutions are calculated using MATLAB.
