Abstract

Interactive Program Guides (IPGs) help television viewers know what programming is scheduled on a particular channel by using a grid-style listing of program details. Current IPGs lack a natural interface that allows a user to easily locate their desired show. This MQP explores the design of the next generation Verizon set-top box, which utilizes voice recognition to quickly and effortlessly search through thousands of listings.
