Abstract
International terrorism against American interest[s] over the last 25 years has been researched. Specific incidents such as the Iran hostage crisis, the bombing of [the] Beirut Marine barracks, and the African embassy bombings were studied for American reaction and counter-terrorism policy changes that resulted from these events. These policies were analyzed for their benefits and shortcomings. Finally, the future of terrorist attacks against the U.S. was looked at to see how terrorism will evolve into the next century.
