Abstract

The goal of this project was the design, development and deployment of an automated functional unit testing application to ensure the accuracy of the Voyager search engine. By comparing the number of results generated by the search engine with pre-determined totals obtained by performing mathematical calculations, the correctness of the search engine is validated. With this application, flaws introduced to the system during successive versions, in terms of performance, accuracy and efficiency, will be detected.
