Abstract

The goal of this project was to test and analyze the third generation of the Lunar Planetary Science Module (LPSM3) and incorporate mechanical and thermal enhancements into an enhanced design. Previous mathematical models of the suspension system and thermal characteristics of the science module were revised using data collected from field testing. The results of testing and analysis allowed this MQP team to propose improvements to the LPSM3.
