System Engineering Design for Point-of-Care Diagnostics
PublicDownloadable Content
open in viewerThe objective of the MQP is to design a point-of- care testing (POCT) system that would provide a rapid diagnosis at the patient’s location. The proposed system encompasses point-or-care testing devices for preparing and isolating DNA/RNA samples, PCR technology and data management tools. By automating the POCT system, safety and efficiency are optimized. The POCT system is designed to be portable so that it can be stored in an ambulance and deployed at the patient's location.
