Despite an abundance of commercial simulation software, there is a need for a dedicated computational tool that can calculate the coupling between individual elements in two spatially separate phased arrays. The use of commercial simulation software is limited by high cost, resource availability and/or long simulation times. The objective of this MQP was the implementation of a MATLAB program that performs this coupling calculation. In addition to designing, developing and implementing the calculations in MATLAB, the codeÂ’s predictions were validated against analytical and commercially available codes. Furthermore, this project also included an analysis on the accuracy and runtime of the software.
