Abstract
The purpose of this project was to monitor and control a device on the Universal Serial Bus. Hardware and software engineering was required, including device driver and user interface development, assembly language programming, and circuit design and implementation. Temperature was read from a sensor on the test board, and a switching circuit was used to turn a heat source on and off automatically to keep the temperature within a user specified range. The complete system was tested on a personal computer.
