Abstract

The purpose of this project, done at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in the field of Electrical Engineering was to receive a WWV 15 MHz AM signal from the National Institute of Standards and Technology atomic clock in Boulder, Colorado. This project includes the components used and the experience gained while implementing a super-heterodyne receiver. To implement this project, the tools used were books referencing Radio Frequency and Microelectronics, knowledge of data sheets, and a good understanding of "how a receiver works."
