Abstract
This project addresses environmental enrichment for the big cats in the Southwick Zoo. Environmental enrichment is giving the animal back as much control over its life as captivity will allow, promoting the psychological well being of captive animals by enriching their environment. Behavioral enrichment provides an environment that promotes natural activities. This project researches types of enrichment and selects appropriate types to be implemented at the zoo, in accordance to the needs of the cats and the zoo's capabilities.
