Abstract
This project was requested by the United States Coast Guard's Marine Safety office, located in the heart of Boston Harbor. The goal was to improve the current LNG inspection process, making their inspection team more efficient and effective. This was accomplished by devising a vessel deficiency forecasting system that can predict any particular vessel's current status with reasonable accuracy. When implemented, the new system will save enough MSO resources to accommodate recent increases in LNG activity.
