Yôkai no Kôgeki is a VR tower defense game set in feudal Japan where the player takes on the role of a commander preventing Yôkai from invading. Three objectives were identified for experience goals. Users should feel immersed in the setting. Users should have a strategic challenge while fending off Yôkai. Users should feel like a leader that is in control of his or her territory. This report details the design process of creating a game that achieves these objectives. The report goes over the design and gameplay of the game, the technical implementation, the art direction, and the testing of the game. While the game could be improved, Yôkai no Kôgeki was successful in fulfilling the objectives laid out prior to implementation.
