Machine vibrations provide an opportunity to incorporate sustainable energy into industrial settings. This project took vibrational energy as a byproduct of a blender and converted it to electricity through the use of piezoelectric materials. The final prototype not only harvested electricity, but also successfully dampened excess vibrations to protect the machinery. Upon final testing, the prototype was able to charge a capacitor and generate 8 millivolts.
