PublicDownloadable Content
open in viewerThis project aimed to best predict the functional recovery of stroke patients at 90 days using a database provided by the University of Massachusetts Medical School, Worcester, MA. Data from 479 stroke patients was mined with classification and regression methods. Experiments with these methods were performed by varying feature selection and the representation of target attribute classes. What resulted is an exploration into the comparative effectiveness of the methods used, considering statistical significance and ultimate medical usefulness.
